The Digg Reel was a daily (previously weekly) video podcast hosted by Andrew Bancroft that covered the most recent popular videos from Digg. It was a spin-off show of Revision3's flagship podcast, Diggnation hosted by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht. The Digg Reel was launched in January 2008 and was originally hosted by Jessica Corbin who hosted the first eight episodes. Since episode nine (March 12, 2008), Andrew Bancroft has been the host.[1]

One of the most "dugg" videos of all time was a video taken from the television show MythBusters when they went to New Mexico and fired a rocket into a car at 650mph which obliterated the car.[2] To celebrate this feat, Andrew went to MythBusters HQ to talk with the MythBusters team.[3] Whilst there, the team talked about their previous experiences and also tasered Andrew.

Starting March 8, 2010 the show introduced shorter but daily podcasts after a week-long trial run with "Digg Daily Updates From the Golden Globes".[4] Unlike Revision 3's Tekzilla and Tekzilla Daily Tips, the show does not release one long episode and several shorter episodes each week, but rather releases five episodes of similar length each week.

On September 27, Andrew announced the last show would run on September 30. This is officially the end of The Digg Reel.
